Rick and I are ready to take Guinevere, our Ontario 32 sailboat, out for another sailing adventure.
Either Sunday or Monday we will leave for a 5 week trip up to the North Channel of Georgian Bay.
Before going all the way to the North Channel, we’ll make our way to Kincardine, Ontario for a Chappus family reunion. Our travels will take us through Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair River, and then into Lake Huron. We plan to stop at the city of Sarnia, and the town of Bayfield on our way to Kincardine. It should take 3 days of travel and we expect to be on the water anywhere from 10 to 14 hours per day. We want to arrive in Kincardine by Thursday or Friday for the family reunion at a cottage on the lake. Our travel plans will allow us some time to stay put and enjoy the places where we stop along the way for a day or two each.
After the family reunion weekend we will continue north where we expect to spend some time exploring the many small towns and anchorages in the North Channel.
Guinevere is tuned up, provisioned, and ready to go!
Only 3 or 4 more sleeps before we leave!
