A Walk Around Downtown and a Beautiful Old Used Bookstore

On Monday, the last day before we were returning home with the car, Rick and I did all of the final errands we had to do that required a car. This included getting our propane tanks refilled. One of the tanks had to get revalved so we went all over town until we found some good souls who would do this for us on the spur of the moment.

After a somewhat hectic morning, we spent the rest of the rainy day exploring around downtown Kingston.

The downtown square. Note the limestone buildings everywhere.

Beautiful alleyway.

My favourite stop was an interesting, cramped, old bookstore called Berry and Peterson Booksellers. The owner kindly allowed me to wander around to take pictures. I was in my glory!

Next time we head downtown we will be either riding our bikes or taking the bus. Will keep you updated about how that works out.
